Description: Jovenes Unidos is a volunteer-based, non-profit organization whose focus is on conducting fieldtrips to local charity events, walkathons, holiday food drives, etc. and giving students the opportunity to voice their opinions on where they would like to volunteer, and what they learned from each new volunteer experience. With our efforts students can learn the benefits and self-reward of volunteering and making a difference in their community. Mission: The mission is to steer our Latino youth away from negative influences in our society today. We plan to accomplish our mission by giving our Latino youth the experience to view the world in a different perspective, away from their inner city environment. Our message will show our youth the significance of community involvement, and how it can impact their lives and the lives of others. |
